Miss Barbara Lemire
Director/Owner

Miss Barbara is entering her 40th season as owner of Barbara's Academy. She is proud to offer a non-competative, recreational, and fun place to dance with an atmosphere building self-confidence through dance. Miss Barbara has a great love of children and her extended family of dancers. She continues to take classes on a regular basis.

Miss Kerri Denommee (Deschenes)
Assistant Teacher  

Miss Kerri has been a part of Barbara's Academy of Dance for over 20 years. She teaches and is trained in all styles of dance. Miss Kerri is also a 2nd grade teacher in Lowell, MA and has a Bachelor's degree in Elementary & Special Education from Rivier University and has received her Master's degree in Education with a specialization in Reading from Southern New Hampshire University. Miss Kerri has been instructing since 2008 and since then has taught all genres of dance. She currently teaches lyrical classes, and musical theatre classes!

             Miss Allysa Bijeol
             Assistant Teacher

             Allysa Leigh Bijeol began dancing at the age of two and has continued to dance now for over 20 years. She has 
             trained in Contemporary/Lyrical, Modern, Tap, Pointe, Hip Hop, World Dance, Jazz and Ballet. She attended
             Northern Essex Community College for her Dance Teaching Certificate, an Associates in Dance and Business. During
             college she was President of the Dance Club, Coach for the college's Dance Team and had her own 
             choreography in the schools Dance Showcase. She has had extensive training in Pedagogy and that has given her 
             proper knowledge of the dancers' body and how to prevent injuries while stretching and during class time 
             activities. Allysa is a very passionate and energetic teacher and enjoys being able to pass that on to her students.
             She is always looking forward to bringing her ideas to life.


              

​​Miss Brianna Kelley 
​
Assistant Teacher

Brianna has been a student at Barbara’s Academy since the age of 3 and has loved every minute of it! After taking some time away to attend the University of Rhode Island, she kept up with dance at the University’s Dance Company. She is trained in tap, hip hop, ballet, contemporary/lyrical and jazz and is excited to be teaching again! Brianna is known for challenging her students into branching out and trying new things. She brings lots of energy to her classes.
